Port of Shelburne
About The Port / Links - 2
The SPA has a total land and water lot area of approximately 11 hectares. Along the western edge of the property is a paved road that runs from the end of Lower Water Street toward the wharf and ending where the wharf begins. This approach road is approximately 300 meters in length. Continental Seafoods located east of the approach road, leases a portion of land from the SPA; the balance of the area east of the approach road and up to the wharf is mostly paved and used for parking, marshalling and storage. The “T” shape of the wharf creates two inner basins: a deeper basin on the west (currently leased to Clearwater) and a shallower basin on the east, currently used by independent fishers. Fresh water is available 8 months of the year, along with electrical hook up 30 amps, 50 amps and 100 amp service and WI-FI is also available. There are security cameras providing around the clock surveillance of the terminal, along with security and RCMP presence; this is also a Canada Customs access point.
The Terminal is within walking distance of historic Dock Street, Shelburne Harbour Yacht Club and the centre of Town; taxi service is also available. There are a number of restaurants in town to choose from Chinese to Home cooked to Pizza; there is also a Tim Horton’s.
