Port Expansion Plan
The planned expansion for the Port of Shelburne will probably be done in stages.
1. An area of the harbour will be dredged to provide more depth for larger vessels.
2. The port service road will be widened to service the new wharf along with the existing wharf.
3. Construction of a new 195 metre by 30 metre wharf.
4. Then the expansion of the existing Tee wharf by 100 metres.
5. Then the putting in of floating docks for pleasure-craft in association with the Shelburne Harbour Yacht Club.
This expansion could help in expanding fishing activities, the service of bulk carriers and container vessels, also welcome larger yachts, tallships and small cruise vessels to the area.
The Port of Shelburne is open for business and we are looking for a few good clients that can use this port to it's full potential.
